Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and you will want to fee! and look wonderful. Perhaps you’ve set yourself a weight loss goal or maybe your wedding is simply the catalyst for a bit of self-improvement and pampering.

6 months
□ Weight
If you want to lose a few pounds, now is the time to begin. Concentrate on a routine of healthy eating rather than a crash diet
□ Diet
Eating a healthy, varied diet in anti-oxidants, such as fruits and vegetables, will benefit all aspects of your health and beauty. It is important to drink plenty of water (6- 8 glasses per day) in order to improve the appearance and texture of your skin and to enhance the body’s cleansing process

□ Exercise
Try to take some extra exercise, such as walking, swimming or cycling. It will make you feel healthier and more relaxed, increase your circulation and will speed up the rate of metabolism if you are trying to shed any excess weight

□ Health Spa or Beauty Salon
Spend a few days at a health spa if your budget permits.
Expert advice, beauty therapies, sports and exercise facilities are all available to make you feel pampered and come away feeling like a million dollars. Check on what is included in the price and the cost of optional extras. Alternatively, contact your local beauty salon to put together a programme of treatments

□ Skin Care
Have a consultation at a beauty salon to discuss any skin Problems. A skin care therapist will recommend a home care regime and put together a treatment plan. Treat yourself to some good quality skin care preparations. Regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing will ensure your skin stays healthy and free from blemishes

□ Hands and Nails
Your hands will be the focus of attention when you show off your wedding ring. Take extra care shaping your nails and avoid doing things that may cause them to split or break. Wear rubber gloves and use lots of hand cream. If your budget allows, book monthly manicures or purchase some professionai hand and nail care products to use on a regular basis at home

□ Make-up
Identify a make-up artist if required and have a practice session
□ Detox
Due to the effects of detox programmes, they are better started months rather than weeks before your wedding day

2 months
□ Make-up
Arrange a make-up lesson or pick up a few tips from a cosmetic house beautician in a large store. Wear something in the color of your dress or drape a towel or piece of fabric to get the effect. If you are doing your own make-up, buy any new cosmetics and Start practicing your wedding day look. You may also wish to buy a matching nail varnish. When purchasing make-up, remember to consider the difference in skin tone if you are planning a fake tan application prior to the wedding

□ Beauty Treatments
List any treatments you may require – facial, exfoliation, waxing (full leg, half leg, underarm, bikini line), manicure, pedicure, massage, Botox, eyelash/eyebrow tinting and eyebrow shaping. Decide whether to go to a salon, have a beautician come to your home or do them your sei f. Make appointments well in advance to avoid disappointment and to ensure you can book the most convenient times

□ Hair
Make an appointment with your hairdresser to discuss your wedding day hairstyle, especially if you plan to have a new style or wish to adapt it for going away. Take your veil or
headdress, if possible. Discuss plans if you intend to cut, curl or color your hair, or have hair extensions, and make the necessary appointments. Decide whether you will visit the salon on the wedding day or ask your hairdresser to come to your home. Make an appointment or agree the time and place

1 month
□ Facial
Allow time for any spots, caused by impurities being drawn to the surface, to heal
□ Tanning
If you wish to have a fake tan that will look flattering in the photographs and video, it is advisable to have a trial spray tanning session to ensure you are happy with the result and color

1 week
□ Flair
Attend appointment for cut, curl, color and hair extensions, as required. Take along veil or headdress and have a final rehearsal. Practice with your hair and headdress if you are doing your own hair on the wedding day

□ Beauty Treatments
Attend appointments for waxing (full leg, half leg, underarm, bikini line), exfoliation, eyelash/eyebrow tinting and eyebrow shaping. Enjoy being pampered and fee! your confidence growing

□ Sauna
A sauna or steam bath will leave you feeling refreshed and the steam will draw any impurities to the surface of the skin

□ Massage
Relax and let go of any tension

2/3 days
□ Check eyebrow shaping
□ Tanning
□ Go along for your final session of spray tanning

1 day
□ Manicure and pedicure
□ Assemble beauty preparations and make-up for the honeymoon, including sunscreen and after-sun lotion
□ Assemble a touch-up kit for the wedding day – lipstick, blusher, powder, perfume, comb, mirror, tissues and safety pins. Your mother should have this available for you
□ Relax and have an early night

On the day
□ Have a warm bath or shower U Breakfast
Eat as substantial a breakfast as you can
□ Hair
□ Make-up
□ Carry out any last minute repairs to nails
□ Give your touch-up kit to your mother
□ Get dressed and fix veil or headdress
□ Take a few deep breaths and enjoy the day
