There is nothing more beautiful than the sight and smell of flowers in bloom and they will be an essential part of your big day. From the wedding Service to the bride’s bouquet, and from the wedding reception to the buttonholes and corsages, wedding flowers are everywhere to be seen. Coordinating the ‘floral package’ so that it complements the day and makes the best use of seasonal flowers requires careful planning and the professional advice of a florist.

Photography
Your wedding photographs are the lasting Images of your special day, so be sure you find the right photographer to capture all the magic, the people and special moments in the day.

• establish that the photographer you meet will be the one who will be covering your wedding or civil formation

• establish whether the cost of an album or digital image CD is included in the package, or just the photographs
• establish the availability of an online photo album for viewing and ordering
• ascertain when the proofs or online images will be ready and for how long they will be available while you make your selection
• enquire when the prints will be ready
• check how long the negatives or digital images will be retained

Video
A well made wedding video can provide an invaluable lasting memento of the occasion, recording many of the amusing incidents you missed and capturing the planned events, as well as those spontaneous moments that are unique to every wedding.

□ Before you proceed with booking a videographer, it is advisable to obtain the permission of the officiant, Superintendent Registrar or Civil Partnership Officer. Ask if there are any restrictions on where you can film in the venue and if more than one camera is allowed (often one camera is placed at the back of the venue looking up the aisle and another will be adjacent to the couple)
□ Decide whether you will ask a friend or use a Professional Company If you choose a friend, ensure they have the necessary video camera and equipment, editing facilities and DVD burning equipment or arrange to hire. Ensure they know how to use the equipment and understand how to film a wedding
□ Choose a videographer. It is suggested you contact two or three videographers to ensure you choose the most appropriate one to make your video. Check on their professional experience and training

If a video of the ceremony is not possible, you may wish to consider the possibility of a sound recording.
