Choose Clothes for the Flower Girl – Ideas for Wedding
The flower girl is usually very young and her mother will get involved in the decision-making. It may be advisable not to have her dress made too early, as late alterations will almost certainly be necessary to take account of her growing. The style and color of dress should be distinct from the bridesmaids, but should complement the dresses worn by the bride and bridesmaids.

□ Liaise with the flower girl’s mother to ensure color and style co-ordination
□ Discuss whether her dress will be purchased, hired or specially made and who will pay
□ Agree a suitable style
• length and shape of dress (mid-calf length is advisable to prevent her tripping over)
• sleeves (depending on the time of year)
• trimmings and decoration
• fabric (depending on the time of year)
□ Agree on the color, taking into account the color of her hair and complexion

Headdress
□ Choose an appropriate style to complement her dress and any decorative features, and to suit her proposed hairstyle for the wedding day
• circlet of fresh or silk flowers • a single bloom • cluster of flowers • ribbons trimmed with flowers

Accessories
□ Ascertain what accessories she already owns, which ones will need to be purchased or hired and who will pay

Black patent or color to match or tone with her dress. Comfortable and non-slip
