The day itself before the Wedding – Plan my Wedding

The day itself before the Wedding – Plan my Wedding
Have a hearty breakfast. Make yourself eat even if you don’t feel hungry – it is a long day.
Set aside an hour for deep relaxation. Have your hair styled. Take any flowers, veils, or tiaras you are incorporating into your style to the hairdressers, or have a hairdresser come to your venue for last-minute styling.

Make-up
Men who don’t normally wear make-up may want to consider wearing a little to look better in photographs and videos – look closely at even the most serious male newsreader, and he will be wearing make-up.

Cleanse, tone and moisturise a couple of hours before you put on make-up. Eat before you put on your make-up and just wear a t-shirt or old shirt while you put it on, in case you smudge anything. A mint adjuster is a good idea as it stops your skin from looking red and blotchy – essential for those tearful moments or when the alcohol starts to kick in! When you first put it on, it makes your skin look green, but don’t panic, once you’ve applied even a light foundation it disappears. If you need to conceal any blemishes, deep lines or dark shadows under eyes, add some concealer with a make-up brush. This should be followed by face powder to stop you looking shiny, particularly under the flash of a camera. Before you apply blusher, smile, so that you can see your cheeks clearly, and then apply the blusher in circles, sweeping out towards your ears before you lift the brush from your face. Use a lip base to create a smooth surface and then outline your lips with a lip pencil. Then add your lipstick and remember to blot it with tissue and check your teeth.

Define your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil in the direction of hair growth. Apply it lightly in short strokes and try to match your natural color, or go a bit darker.

Outline your upper and/or lower eyelids with an eyeliner pencil, and then apply your eye shadow. Use a light color over the whole lid and then a darker color to accentuate the outside corner of your eye, going no more than a third of the way towards your nose.

Put on your mascara last. If you want it to look really heavy apply it several times, but let it dry between applications. Use an eyelash comb if you want to prevent it from clogging. To finish off you may want to spray on a fine mist of water over your face to help set your make-up.

Take your time
Allow plenty of time to reach the venue.
You will have to meet the registrar first, so allow time for this.
Take your time when you first walk into the ceremony room for everyone to look at you and for you to take in your surroundings and guests.
Arrange with the photographer to whisk you both away for 10 minutes during the day so that you have a bit of a breather, as everyone will want to talk to you.
Enjoy the day and savour every moment – it will go very fast.

‘By now you will have planned your day to perfection, so relax and have fun – you deserve it!
